Cranbrook Hill, Prince George is a piece of the country in the city. Rising above the downtown core, a number of properties here have spectacular views. The picturesque trails and acreages are also popular with the local wildlife, and sightings are fairly common in this area.

Recreation
Forests for the World is a popular hiking area with access to Shane Lake, a small fishing lake with a viewing platform and fishing docks. Forests for the World connects to the Cranbrook Hill Greenway, which features multi-use trails that span more than 25km. The greenway also winds its way north to Otway Nordic Ski Centre, one of Canada’s best cross-country ski clubs.
Mountain bikers will find everything they are looking for at Pidherny. These trails range from easy to difficult with many of the trails featuring jumps and other structures.
Amenities
Cranbrook Hill is the home of the University of Northern BC. UNBC offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs as well as continuing education courses. It is ranked one of Canada’s best small universities.
The Northern Sport Centre is part of the university and features basketball, volleyball, squash and badminton courts, an indoor track, soccer fields and fitness facilities that are popular with students and the general public.
Elementary and secondary schools are easily accessible nearby, as are attractions such as the CN Centre, the Kin Centre ice arenas, the Prince George Aquatic Centre and Pine Centre Mall.
All of the downtown amenities that Prince George has to offer are just a short drive away, and buses make regular stops at UNBC.
